Amalgam-Free Fillings
Concerns over the possible toxic effects of mercury in amalgam fillings have led our office to offer composite restorations. These eliminate the potential threat of mercury, while offering similar longevity to amalgam restorations. Most patients also prefer the aesthetics of composite restorations over amalgams since composites look like your regular teeth.
We use only dental composite resins, which are insoluble, aesthetic, insensitive to dehydration, easy to manipulate and reasonably inexpensive. They do not have the potential long-term health threats as amalgams, which now include potential contamination of our drinking water. As one of our patients said, "The days of the silvery pirate look are over", because composites allow your beautiful, natural smile to be restored in a healthy way.
